Copy the Reel link
Open the Reel in the Instagram app and tap the three dots at the corner of the video — or the share icon. Choose “Copy link”. The address you get starts with instagram.com/reel/, and that is all Baixargram needs.
FreeNo watermarkNo app to install
Baixargram does one job and does it quickly: it turns a public Instagram Reel into an MP4 file on your phone or computer. No app to install, no account to create, and no detour through three ad screens before you reach the button.
Three steps, well under a minute. The route is identical on iPhone, Android and a desktop browser.
Open the Reel in the Instagram app and tap the three dots at the corner of the video — or the share icon. Choose “Copy link”. The address you get starts with instagram.com/reel/, and that is all Baixargram needs.
Tap “Paste” to fill the field in one go. If the browser blocks clipboard access, press and hold the field and paste by hand. Links often arrive with extra tracking parameters at the end — paste the whole thing, the field handles it.
A card appears within seconds with the file name, a preview and a “Save video” button. On iPhone the file lands in Files › Downloads; on Android, in the Download folder of internal storage.
A lot of people assume every saved Reel comes back with the account handle stamped over the picture. On Instagram, it does not: the platform does not overlay a watermark on the videos it publishes. That stamp belongs to TikTok, which burns it into the file its own app exports.
What does exist are sites that pull the video down and then brand it with their own logo, or that bury the download button under so many ads you give up. Baixargram does neither. It hands back the file exactly as Instagram served it — no overlay, no re-encode.
That matters twice over. Visually, a watermark covers precisely the corner most creators use for captions. Technically, re-encoding just to paste a logo strips bitrate, so the file gets both heavier and softer at the same time. Here the MP4 is byte-for-byte the one that left Instagram’s CDN.
Reposting the video will not add a watermark either, but it does not give you rights to it. Credit to the original creator still applies to any public use — see the terms at the bottom of this page.
Reels are Instagram’s short vertical videos, built to be watched full-screen and back to back. The format launched as an answer to TikTok and became the platform’s main discovery surface — it is where the algorithm shows you accounts you have not followed yet.
Technically, a Reel is an MP4 in a 9:16 frame with its own audio track, often carrying text, stickers and effects baked in during editing. When someone publishes, Instagram produces several variants of the same video so it can serve the right resolution for each viewer’s connection. Baixargram asks for the highest-quality variant available for that specific link.
The format changes often, so for details on length limits, file size and accepted codecs it is worth reading Instagram’s official documentation. Our scope is narrower: get the video off the platform and onto your device.
The link is the only thing Baixargram needs. It is the public address of the video, shaped like instagram.com/reel/CODE. There are three ways to get it, and all of them work:
Two mistakes are common. The first is copying the profile link (instagram.com/yourprofile) instead of the video — there is no file behind that. The second is grabbing a Story address: Stories live under /stories/ and have their own page. Reels and video posts use /reel/ and /p/.
On iPhone the copied link waits on the clipboard and can be pasted into any field. On Android a discreet “Link copied” toast appears near the bottom of the screen. If nothing shows up, reopen the Reel and try again — the app occasionally needs a second tap to register the action.
It all happens in the browser. No APK, no configuration profile on iOS, and no requests for access to your photo library or your contacts.
No re-encode, no swapped cover frame, no substituted audio. The MP4 comes straight from the platform’s CDN at the resolution the creator published.
On mobile the file lands in Downloads or Files; on desktop, in your browser’s download folder. The same link works on all three.
You never connect an Instagram account, never enter an email and never create a password. The only requirement is that the Reel is public.
Baixargram only resolves the file address and hands that address back to you. The bytes travel from Instagram’s CDN directly to your device — which is why the download is fast, and why no copy of the video exists on our side.
No. Everything runs in your browser — Safari, Chrome, Firefox or Edge. There is no APK to sideload, no developer profile on iOS and no permissions to grant. If a site insists you install software before you can save a Reel, treat that as a red flag: it is not needed, and it usually brings ads along with it.
Both, plus any desktop browser. The only difference is where the file lands. On iPhone, Safari drops the video into the Files app under Downloads; occasionally iOS opens it in a new tab instead, and you finish with Share, then Save Video. On Android, Chrome writes to the Download folder and posts a notification when the file is complete.
Yes, whenever the creator uploaded in HD. We request the highest-quality variant tied to that link, which is normally 1080 by 1920 pixels. If the original was recorded or uploaded smaller, that is the size you get — no tool can invent detail that was never captured. We also skip artificial upscaling: a genuine file beats a fake 4K that weighs three times as much.
No, and this matters. Baixargram never asks for a username, a password, a verification code or account access, and it cannot see who you follow or what you watch. The only boundary is Instagram’s own: Reels from private profiles are not reachable for people who do not follow them, so those links cannot be resolved.
Yes. No subscription, no premium tier, no daily download cap and no paid watermark removal. The site is funded by unobtrusive advertising that stays outside the tool itself. If a limit is ever introduced, it will be documented on this page — not revealed on a surprise screen after you click.
It depends on the device. On Android it usually lands in Internal storage › Download, and most gallery apps index it immediately. On iPhone it goes to Files › Downloads; to get it into the camera roll, open the file and use Share › Save Video. On desktop it saves to your browser’s download folder as reel.mp4 or under the post code.
Independence. Baixargram is an independent tool. It has no affiliation, sponsorship, endorsement or partnership with Instagram, Meta or any company in that group. The names Instagram, Reels and Meta belong to their respective owners and appear here only to describe what the tool does.
Public content only. The tool works exclusively with public posts. Private profiles, content removed by the platform and expired links are out of reach, and there is no technical workaround for that — nor is it the purpose of this site.
Copyright. Downloading a video transfers no rights over it. The creator remains the rights holder, and how you use the file is your responsibility. Use it for personal purposes, your own archive, study, or with the creator’s permission. Reposting someone else’s work as your own, selling it, or using it in a campaign without a licence may infringe copyright and Instagram’s terms of use.
What we do not store. We do not store downloaded videos, we do not log the links you submit, and we keep no history of what was resolved here. The temporary address Instagram issues expires on its own within a few hours; after that it simply stops working, for anyone.
Contact. If you hold rights to a work and believe something here is being used improperly, write to contact@baixargram.com and we will respond.
